Frena Prince, an 88 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2018 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the Laredo Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Frena Prince was born, January 13, 1930 in Mercer County to Bertie and Edna (Mantlow) Golden. She was raised in Mercer County and graduated from Princeton High School. In 1961 she was united in marriage to J.W. Prince. He preceded her in death in 1997. Frena worked as a book keeper for a parts store and hospital, managed a chicken farm in Mississippi and was a pharmacy technician in Stigler Oklahoma. She loved to travel and was always an upbeat person that wanted the blinds open for the sun to shine in and loved listening to lively music.
Surviving relatives include her son Edward Smith and wife Marsha of Winston, MO, daughter Anita Golden of Erie, CO, sister Kathleen Singleton of Trenton, brother Charley Golden of Elwood, KS, five grandchildren; Joseph Smith, Jenny Weese, John Lance, Susan Kohl and Cody Lance, 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband and a great grandson Brody Levi Smith.
