Dixie Elaine Cooper, a 69 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 9:32 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home.
Dixie Elaine Cooper was born February 8, 1949 in Trenton to Lowell Dean and Ruby (Gardner) Ward. Dixie was an avid golfer and enjoyed darts, raising birds and traveling. Time spent with family was important to Dixie and she especially enjoyed playing bingo with her mother and more recently therapy shopping with her family.
Surviving relatives include her children: Travis Elder, Shauna Neff, Kevin Etter, Leasa Cole, Kelly Plummer, Evelyn Foster, Danita Gumbert, Matt Cooper, Pam Plummer, Rachelle Cooper and Brenda Cooper, her mother Ruby Ward, sister Valerie Haug , brother Curtis Ward, 28 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death include her father, son Wayne Neff, brother John Eric Ward, nephews Tanner Ward and Dominic Haug, and grandson John Dean.
