Clarence Utley, a 91 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 7:52 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton MO.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Green Hills Rural Development for Downtown Christmas Lighting and may be left with the funeral home or mailed to 813 Custer St. in Trenton.
Clarence Carl Utley was born August 29, 1926 in Gibson County, IN to John Carl and Stella Maude (Kirk) Utley. He graduated from Fort Branch High School in IN with the class of 1944, and received a History degree from Oakland City College in Indiana. On June 17th 1951 he was united in marriage to Barbara Lee Ricker in Fort Branch IN. She preceded him in death in 2000. They lived in North Omaha NE before he moved to Trenton in 2015. For many years Clarence had a successful career as a Veterinarian Pharmaceutical salesman. Clarence served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid gardener.
Surviving relatives include his sons John Utley and wife Tracy of Trenton, and Kirk Utley and wife Ninette of Omaha, NE, and three grandchildren, Aubrey, Wilson and Claire Utley.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, and companion of many years Darlene Severson.
