Neva Arlene Chenoweth, a 103 year old resident of Trenton, passed away at 5:12 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 Friday evening at the funeral home.  Open visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday.  Memorial donations are suggested to the First Christian Church Scholarship Fund.
Neva Arlene Chenoweth was born August 24, 1914 in St. Catherine, MO to Ray James and Essie Sarah McCollum (Roberson) Spencer.  She graduated from Brookfield High School.  On October 19, 1932 she was united in marriage to Hadley Chenoweth in Linneus, MO.  He preceded her in death on November 16, 1984.  Neva worked as a case worker for the Missouri Division of Family Services and did volunteer work for Wright Memorial Hospital.  She was a member of the Trenton First Christian Church and the Trenton Garden Club.  One of her favorite activities was traveling with friends.
Surviving relatives include her son Robert Chenoweth and wife Betty of Trenton, and daughter June Kahn and husband Fred of Shawnee Mission, KS, half-brothers John Spencer of Marceline, MO and Jerald Spencer of Brookfield, MO, five grandchildren; Bobby Chenoweth and wife Janice of Farley, MO, Barry Chenoweth and wife Sue of Trenton, Betsy Quinn and husband Patrick of Buda, TX, Michael Kahn and wife Colleen of Olatha, KS, and Christina Holt and husband Matt of Olatha, KS, eight great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.

I met Neva through the garden club in Trenton. She was such a nice lady and I thought so much of her. I moved from Trenton many years ago but have never forgotten Neva.

I will keep all of you, her family, in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad to see that she lived a long life.

Bob and Betty--We were sorry to learn of Neva's death. I know she lived a long life but certainly was an inspiration to many for a great many things. Our thoughts and condolences are with you all. Jerry and Kathy
