Carmen Nadine Fisher, a 97 year old Chillicothe, MO resident, passed away at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe, MO.
Funeral services ae scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Payne Funeral Home in Galt, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m., until service time Wednesday. There will be a private burial later at the Schrock Cemetery near Reger. Memorial donations are suggested to the Schrock Cemetery Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 813 Custer St., Trenton, MO 64683.
Carmen Fisher was born April 2, 1920 in Sullivan County, MO to Roy Edmond and Eula Vea (Thurlo) Crowdis. She graduated from Galt High School. On September 21, 1937 she was united in marriage to Paul Wilson Fisher in Denver, CO. He preceded her in death November 15, 1993. For 35 years Carmen worked as a nurse at the Milan Hospital. She also worked at Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe for 7 years. Carmen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe.
Surviving relatives include her son Roy Michael Fisher and wife Meryl of Decatur, TX, daughter Paula M Wilson of Chillicothe, four grandchildren; Tim Wilson and wife Hamsua of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle Hibner and husband Mark of Montgomery, TX, Melissa Johnson and husband Todd of Bedford, TX and Mark Wilson and wife Kayla of Fort Worth, TX, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister Lois V Gray.
