Helen Lillian Beck-Combs was born September 23, 1923 in Trenton, MO and passed away November 20, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ where she had lived for the past 60 years. Helen was born to Lilly & Raymond Cyphers and was the youngest of 4 children that included Mildred, Lois & Frank. Helen married Trenton resident Guy Beck in 1942 and they spent 32 years together until his passing in 1974. Helen had two sons, Charles Thomas born in 1947 and Owen Ray born in 1951. Owen preceded her in death in 1996. Helen remarried C. Gene Combs in 1994 and they were together until his death in 2006. Helen was also predeceased by her great-grandson Peter Standage in 2010.
Helen had 2 grandchildren, Amy and Jamie, 8 great-grandchildren, JT, Sarah, Paige, Ben, Emily, Peter, Timmy and Hannah. She had a great-great grandson to be born in April that she will not have the opportunity to meet.
She was a loyal and faithful wife, a devoted and loving mother who only saw the good in people. The world was a better place with Helen in it.
Services will be held December 16th at 10:00am at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, with a burial following in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Dockery Chapel Church where Helen was a member. They may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
