Mary Lou Gorman, an 88 year old Galt, MO resident, passed away at 8:25 p.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Galt First Christian Church in Galt, MO.  Burial will follow in Stucker Cemetery near Laredo.  There will be a visitation from 1:00 until service time Monday at the church.  Open visitation will begin at noon Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Galt Christian Church or the Galt Fire Department and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Mary Lou Gorman was born September 28, 1929 in Farmersville, MO to George J. and Flora W. (Woods) Mantlo.  On December 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to Ralph J. Gorman in Kansas City.  They moved to Galt in 1965 where they owned and operated Ralph’s Hy-Klas Grocery Store until 1975.  Mary then worked at Sunnyview Nursing Home until retiring in 1988 when Ralph’s health began to fail.  She was a member of the Galt First Christian Church and the Galt Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  Every morning Mary enjoyed having breakfast with friends at the Galt Café.

Surviving relatives include her daughter Martha Provance and her husband Curtis of Trenton, twin sister Betty Sallee of Chillicothe, sister Loraine Ricehouse of Chillicothe, brother Bill Mantlo an wife Joann of Laredo, sister Lena Cooksey and husband Donald of Laredo, son-in-law Mike Beasley, 3 grandchildren; Jason Beasley and wife Leah of Franklin, OH, Jared Beasley and wife Laurey of Park City, KS, and Catie Shippen and husband Ryan of Trenton, 4 great grandchildren; Hannah, Eli, and Nora Beasley and Landry Shippen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, daughter Linda L Beasley and a sister Eunice Funk.
