Emogene Jackson, a 93 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Rural Dale Baptist Church, East of Trenton.  Burial will follow in the Rural Dale Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled from 7:00-8:00pm Saturday evening at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the North Central Missouri College Scholarship Fund or to the Rural Dale Bus Fund. Emogene Lucille (Elliott) Jackson was born July 24, 1924 in rural Grundy County to Selah Hart Elliott and Viola (Martin) Elliott Davis.  She graduated from Laredo High School class of 1942.  On January 13, 1946 Emogene was united in marriage to Paul Daley Jackson in Hallsville, MO.  He preceded her in death on July 15, 2009.  During WWII, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in Trenton, MO.  Later, she worked as the bookkeeper for Jackson Bros. Oil Company for 34 years.  As a lifelong active member of the Rural Dale Baptist Church, Mrs. Jackson served as volunteer treasurer and music director for decades, and as treasurer with the North Grand River Baptist Association; she also volunteered with the Wright Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
The focus of her energy and love, her family, includes these surviving relatives: her daughter Phyllis Jackson Dible of Trenton; son Gary Jackson and wife Tina of San Diego, CA; son Stephen Jackson and wife Joy of Trenton; son James Jackson and wife Mary of Jacksonville, FL; son Terry Jackson and wife Taylor of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law Mary Freeman of Trenton; daughter-in-law Karen Jackson; and nephew Neal Elliott of Kirksville, MO. Surviving grandchildren are: Brittina Jackson Walion, Jared Jackson, Sean Jackson, Brad Jackson, Susie Heckenbach Deering, Kimberly Jackson Carballo, Carrie Jo Ellis, Kristen Ellis Hilbrenner, Teri Lynn Jackson, Dailey Dee Jackson. Surviving great-grandchildren are: Quenton, Parker, and Olivia Walion; Charlie Jackson; Brett, Tyler, Colton, Brittany, and Stephen Jackson; Elías Carballo-Jackson; and Maryn Lea Hilbrenner.
Those close family members preceding her in death include her parents, husband, sister-in-law Ethel Mae Bretz, sister-in-law Maurine Jackson, grandson Paul Marquis Jackson, and great-grandson Paul Alexander Jackson.
We are all thankful for the example she led, family she nurtured, and lunches she served. We are all also thankful that she is at peace and in comfort again.

We are all so sad to learn of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the whole family. Your Mother, Mother in Law, Grandmother was a wonderful, giving woman who lived her life well and shared her gifts freely with all as a Mother, friend and volunteer. She brought much light and caring into the world and she will be missed greatly by many. We hope you memories and faith will sustain you in the days and weeks ahead.

My heart is sad to lose a sweet friend, but I rejoice in knowing she is present with the Lord. It was always a pleasure to visit with Emogene. I enjoyed the easy way we could converse. May your precious memories of her bring you comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
