In loving memory of Ramona Rae Kirby Paulus who was called home by our Heavenly Father on August 3, 2017. She was born in her home on September 26, 1931 in Modena, Missouri to parents, Chesnut Warren Kirby and Wilma Ruth Butcher. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Kirby and grand-nephew, Augie Vogeler. Her surviving siblings and their spouses are: Louella Horning of Walnut Creek, CA, Warren and Peggy Kirby of Trenton, MO, Frieda Miller of Overland Park, KS, Fred and Sarah Kirby of Overland Park, KS; niece, Dana Vogeler; grand-niece, Lauren Vogeler and great-grandniece, Madison; nephews and their wives: Frank and Ginger Kirby, Jesse and Gigi Kirby; grandnephews, Brandon, Garrett and Aaron Kirby. Ramona made San Antonio her home in 1970 and became widely known for her gourmet cooking and famous cookies. She was a local realtor, long-time member of Travis Park United Methodist Church, NIOSA Volunteer and symphony supporter.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Prairie Ridge Cemetery in Modena, MO. There will be a gathering at the Modena Community Hall following the services. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Memorial donations are suggested to the Prairie Ridge Cemetery and may be left or mailed to Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.
