Harold Walker, a 77 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at his home Wednesday, August 02, 2017.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe, MO. Burial will follow in the Stucker Cemetery south of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 Friday evening at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Open visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Project and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
Harold Elbert Walker was born January 28, 1940 in Dekalb County to Robert Dean and Helen (Curtis) Walker. On December 31, 1961 he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Spencer in Trenton. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2012. Harold served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 with the First Missile Battalion in Newhall California. He worked at Donaldson Company in Chillicothe for over 30 years. He then purchased and operated Trenton Blacksmith Shop where he worked until he retired. He was a longtime member of the Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe.
Harold's hobbies included collecting antique toy locomotives, coins, and unique marbles. He also loved cooking with his grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include his sons, Shawn Walker and wife Nancy and Corey Walker and wife Ruby of Trenton; brother, Roger Walker and wife Bonnie or Morrisville; sisters, June Baker of Hale, Mary Malam of St. James, Linda Alford and husband Don of St. Joseph, and Sandy Holloway and husband Jim of Linn Creek; seven grandchildren, Kurt Walker, Stephen Walker, Amanda Hopper and husband Adam, Samantha Walker, Sarah Walker, Nancy Walker and Riley Walker; and four great grandchildren, Grace Hopper, Ezekiel Hopper, Eliah Walker and Uriah Walker.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, and brother Robert Dean Walker Jr.
