Kenneth “Scoby” Hamilton, an 81 year old Princeton resident, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Bethany Care Center.
The body was cremated. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. A private family inurnment with military rites will be held at a later date in the Hamilton Cemetery at Modena.
Mr. Hamilton was born on February 4, 1936 west of Spickard, the son of Joe E. and Inez Marie (Bain) Hamilton. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. He farmed in the Modena area.
Survivors include a daughter, Renee Allen and her husband, Roger of Bethany, MO; one brother, J.R. Hamilton of Princeton, MO; four sisters, Deleta Johnson of Princeton, MO, Nadine Elliott of Spickard, MO, Coleen Torrey and her husband, Boyd of Spickard, MO, and JoAnn Brodie and her husband, Jim of Trenton, MO; three grandchildren, Paden Moreland, Jennifer Stout and her husband, Ethan, and Lydia Hart; and six great grandchildren, Carsey, Tyler, and Laney Brown, Cooper Fenimore, and Trysen and Pheonyx Ratliff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenny Joe Hamilton; three brothers, Bob Hamilton, Cloyde “Barney” Hamilton, and Tom Hamilton; and a sister, Rosemary Cudney.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hamilton Cemetery, they can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.

Prayers to your family Scoby was a Good Man & a Long time Friend to Leslie & me. Many good Memories of All the times around Mount Moriah & Modena. He will be missed very much. God Bless & Keep you at this difficult time.
