Betty Ann Ricketts, an 85 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 8:05 a.m., Sunday, March 05, 2017 at Eastview Manor Care Center of Trenton, where she has resided for the last three years.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at South Evans Cemetery north of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the Green Hills Animal Shelter and may be left with or mailed to Whitaker Eads Funeral Home.
Betty Ann Ricketts was born December 9, 1931 in Champlain, NY to Joseph Frank and Ida Eva (Boyca) Rock. On February 19, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert T Ricketts and they moved to a farm near Trenton. Betty loved being on the farm where she could enjoy nature and the animals. She also received great pleasure from gardening and living off the produce from the farm. Betty was an avid reader who was always happy if she had a book and a cup of coffee. Betty also tried to show her Christian believe by example more than by word.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Marsha Fossett and her husband Danny of Kansas City, KS, Granddaughter Glenda McGee, Grandson Jason Robert Batson, great grandchildren Kimberly and Nick McGee, niece Bernice Elliott, nephew Robert Dale VanFleet, and many cousins.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, sons William and Robert Jr., and sisters Martha and Ruth.
