Billy “Ben” Coffman, a 71 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 7:04 p.m., Tuesday February 14, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  His body is to be cremated following the services.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Martin Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled from 4:30 until 6:30 Sunday evening at Resthaven Mortuary.  Memorial donations are suggested in lieu of flowers to the funeral home for expenses.
Billy Ben Coffman was born October 8, 1945 in Spickard, MO to Charles Albert “Coffee” and Ethel Lovella (Vaughn) Coffman.  He attended Spickard High School and resided in Grundy County most of his life.  Fishing, shooting pool, cooking, going to auctions, and cutting wood were just some of his hobbies.  He was generous with anything he had.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; brothers, Bob, Dick and Jack Coffman; sisters, Lois James and Jenny Willard; and two infant sisters.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Heather Coffman and fiancé Jason of Laredo, MO; his son,  Andy Coffman and wife Lynn of Galt, MO; his companion, Barbara Watkins of Trenton, MO; stepsons, Larry Kinion and wife, Trish and Rick Kinion and companion, Chuck both of St. Joseph, MO; sisters, Martha Stubbs and Beverly Draper of Warsaw; brother, Buck Coffman of Edinburg, MO; 11 grandchildren, Briana, Mikayla, Lacy, Abigale, Cooper, Audrey, Jodi, Austin, Brandon, Gillian, and Kiah; 4 step grandchildren, Casey, Chelsea Marie, Chelsea Brooke, and Cheyanne; a great granddaughter, Hadley; 5 step great grandchildren; and close friends that he considered grandchildren, Derek Eckert and his daughter, Molly Jo, and Shelby Eckert.

You will be truly missed. You treated me just like if I was your own son. You got after me if I done something I was not supposed to do. I will always remember all the times You, Mom, Sis and Andy would all come to Des Moines to visit. I will always have wonderful memories. I will do my best to always be there for my sister and my brother since you will not be there physically now. But, just know you will always be in our hearts and we all know you will be watching us from up above.
