Dottie Cox, a 71 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held one hour to service time at the church. An open visitation will be from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.
She was born in Livingston County, MO the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Rosson) Morris. She graduated from Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College. She was married to H.L. “Bud” Cox on September 13, 1964 at Trenton, MO; he preceded her in death on October 27, 2010. She retired from Jewitt Norris Library after 25 years.
Mrs. Cox is survived by a son, Steve Cox and his wife, Kim of Holly, MI; two grandchildren, Jessica Schettling and her husband, Scott and Tanya Llopis and her husband, Josh; great grandchildren, Emma and Alex Kaye, and Barrett Schettling.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Morris and Marie Terhune; and a brother, Donnie Morris.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Treehouse at Liberty Hospital, they can be mailed to or left at Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
