Maxine Knight, an 88 year old former Norwalk, IA resident, passed away at 6:56 p.m. on December 22, 2016 at Daviess County Nursing Home in Gallatin.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 with funeral services at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Lake Viking Church, 18842 Otter Avenue, Gallatin, MO.  Open visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.  There will be a private burial at Rural Dale Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to either the Rural Dale Cemetery or Hospice and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Phyllis Maxine Knight was born July 14, 1928 in Spickard, MO to Albert and Enola (Mitchell) McCulley.  On March 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to Frank Hill in Trenton.  Together they owned and operated a grocery store and restaurant in Milan.  He preceded her in death in 1994.  Maxine also worked in the accounting department for K-Mart in Des Moines, IA and as a clerk at Wal-Mart in Kirksville.  She later married Walter Knight in Norwalk IA.
Mrs. Knight is survived by a son, Frankie Hill and wife Sharon of Reger, MO, two daughters, Carolyn Leeper and Husband, Don of Lake Viking, Phyllis Williams and husband, Rex both of Lake Viking, MO, a brother Ronald McCulley  of Belleville, IL, two sisters, Veda Anderson  of Sedalia, MO and Geneva Johnson of Jameson, MO. 11 grandchildren; Raelyn Whitney, Ron Williams, Teri Gibbs, Chris Wilson, Troy Wilson, Trent Wilson, Steven Hill, Randy Hill, Tami knight, Todd Leeper, and Brad Leeper; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Wilson, a brother, Lowell McCulley, and a granddaughter, Tonya Leeper.
