Wanda Elliott, an 88 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 4:24 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO.
A scheduled visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a eulogy by her grandson, H.R. Rogers at 3:00 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary on Monday, December 26, 2016. Private burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Elliott was born on March 15, 1928 in Lathrop, MO the daughter of William and Ruth (Cavender) Crawford. Her father died when she was 9 months old, her mother remarried to Cash Stone. She was raised in Excelsior Springs community until age 8. She was married to Willard Elliott on December 16, 1946 in Oathe, KS; he preceded her in death on January 15, 1992. The lived 20 years in Cedar Rapids, IA, 7 years in Sedalia, MO, and the rest of their married life on a farm east of Trenton where they owned and operated a horse farm.
She is survived by a son, Robert Elliott and his wife, Marge of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Marsha Smith and her husband, Roy of Edinburg, MO; three grandchildren, H.R. Rogers and his wife, Carissa of Lancaster, MO, Renea Lynch and her husband, Eric of Trenton, MO, and Joy Mensch and her husband, Bruce of Oklahoma; six great grandchildren, Erin, Jaci, Ashley, Taylor, Tyler, and Tanner.
In addition to her parents, step father, and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Wilma; and a brother, Ralph Crawford.
