Thomas Peery, an 82 year old resident of Melbourne, MO, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 03, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital on Barry Rd.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Thomas Eldon Peery was born March 15, 1934 in Melbourne, MO to Eldon and Dorothy (Greenall) Peery. He lived all of his life in Melbourne, other than a time when he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. He graduated from Gilman High School the class of 1952. On February 10, 1962 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Tharp in Trenton. He farmed the family farm and enjoyed lending the neighbors a hand with any of their projects as well. He was a member of the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Melbourne Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Phyllis of the home, sisters Linda Gibson of Trenton and Sara Wilson of Maryville, MO, neighbors they consider their children Jessica, Jacob and Colton Roy, and several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a sister Jo Ellen Zimmerman.
