Carole June Phillips, a 87 year old, Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:17 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016 Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Haseville Cemetery east of Laredo. Open visitation and viewing will from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Carole June Phillips was born June 16, 1929 in Haseville, MO to William Edward and Hannah Christine (Rottmann) Sayers. She attended Fairview schools and graduated from Meadville High School the class of 1947. In 1949 she enlisted in the Womens Army Corps, serving until 1951. On December 3, 1950 she was united in marriage to Dreathus Mikinley Phillips (better known as Buster) in Fayetteville, NC. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2004. Carole was employed with Western Auto as a supervisor in the accounting department in Kansas City for 31 years. She was a member of the Haseville Methodist Church.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Marie Warren, Genevieve Holser, Lois Young, Georgia Hedges, William Edward Sayers Jr.; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Haseville Cemetery and left or mailed to the funeral home.
