Jerry Ray “Jug” Allnutt, 66, of rural Galt, passed away on Monday evening, May 9, 2016 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Galt Christian Church with cremation to follow. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Galt Christian Church. Open viewing will be all day Thursday and Friday at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Galt Christian Church.
Mr. Allunutt was born on July 29, 1949 in Trenton, MO the son of Franklin Dean and Bertha Gail (Carver) Allnutt. He graduated from the first graduating class at Grundy R-5 in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from October 9, 1967 to April 8, 1971. He was in the 61st Signal Battalion Company C with the rank of Sgt E-5. He was married to Glenda Williams on December 29, 1970, they lived and farmed north of Galt all of their married life. Jerry retired from M.F.A. after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Osgood Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Allnutt of Galt; sons, Casey Allnutt and wife Rachal of Princeton and Kevin Allnutt and wife, Vanessa of Galt; daughter, Lynn Coffman and husband, Andy of Galt; 10 grandchildren who were all his pride and joy: Jodi Lynn, Cameron Nicole, Briana Elizabeth, Carson Marie, Daya Annabell, Gracie Ann, Cooper William, Hanna Claire, Audrey Raylea, and Kruiz Michael Ray; his mother, Bertha Gail of Sunnyview Nursing Home; and sister, Cathy Brown of Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Ronnie and Bobby.
