Rosie Dean Tunnell Anderson, 87, lifelong resident of Galt, passed away at 5:50 PM on Saturday, February 06, 2016 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Payne Funeral Home in Galt, MO. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday.  Burial will be in the Boyers Cemetery in Lindley, MO.
Rosie was born on February 2, 1929 in Lindley, MO the daughter of W.M. and Mary (Chrisman) Boyers . She was married to Victor Albert Tunnell in 1946; he preceded her in death in 1980. They were the parents of four children. During the early 1950s’, she owned and operated a restaurant in Osgood. During the early 1960’s she worked at her sister’s restaurant in Galt and at the Tomato Factory in Galt. In 1965 she went to work at Trenton Foods and worked until retirement. Later she married Bob Anderson in 1985 and moved to Chillicothe; he preceded her in death in 1997.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the 65 Wrangler Saddle Club. She always believed her family came first. Moving back to Galt, she remained active in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren lives. She was a great homemaker and loved to sew and crochet, do ceramics, raised flowers, and loved camping with family.
Rosie is survived by her son, Rickie Tunnell of Galt; a sister, Blanche Prewitt of Trenton; a sister in law, Iola Tunnell; daughters’ in law, Judi Hein, Debbie Tunnell Bagley, and Tammy Kelso; grandchildren, Victor L. Tunnell of Galt, Libby Tunnell, Amanda Tunnell, Willie Carl Tunnell, Mary Tunnell, Jeromy Romesburg all of Trenton, and Carla Tunnell Dobbs of Kansas; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands’, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Libby Jean Tunnell in 1952; two sons, Willie Victor Tunnell and Marion Dean Tunnell, both in 1997; daughter in law, Lori Gardner; and three sisters’, Helen Boyers, Gertrude Boyers, and Kathryn Carver.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Boyers Cemetery in Lindley, MO; they can be left at or mailed to Payne Funeral Home, P.O. Box 37, Galt, MO 64641.
