Verna Lyn Love a 65 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:56 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Her body is to be cremated under the direction of Whitaker Eads Funeral Home.
Verna Love was born March 22, 1950 in Torrance, CA to Leo Love and June Sawyer. For many years Verna worked as a "Jack of all Trades" and even owned her own landscaping business in California, but retired as the cashier for Lakeview Restaurant in Trenton. She was also well known as being a “human dictionary” and had the ability to play any musical instrument even if she was unfamiliar with it.
Surviving relatives include her children, Paul Blakeslee of CA, Carolyn Magers of Kingman, AZ, and Dionna Hamilton of Trenton, MO, a sister Diana Beros of CA, a step sister Jeani Colwell of Willits, CA, a step brother Leonard Sawyer of CA, grandchildren; Brandy Blakeslee-Carter, Earnest Hamilton, Emilly Hamilton, and Wyatt Magers, and great grandchildren Baylee and Brooke Carter. She also leaves behind her furbaby, her cat of 10 years Sonny who will be kept with the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
