Marilyn Lee Briggs a 63 year old resident of Trenton passed away at 1:06 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home for expences.
Marilyn Lee Briggs was born March 3, 1952 in Kansas City, KS to James Lou and Adeline Estella (Loun) Folsom. On November 3, 1977 she was united in marriage to Glendale Briggs in Kansas City, KS and she moved to the Trenton area. For near 10 years she worked for Sunnyview Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and for the last 13 years she has resided there. At the nursing home Marilyn has been loved by the residents and staff. She has served as president of the Nursing Home resident Council and was in charge of calling in all the resident’s birthdays to the radio call in show.
Surviving relatives include her son Glen Briggs and his wife Katie of Trenton, daughter Carol Briggs of Chicago, IL, a sister Robin Jenekie of Denver, CO, brother Jim Folsom of Overland Park, KS and a granddaughter Madison Briggs of Trenton.
Those preceding her in death include her parents and husband.

So sorry to hear about my cousin, Marilyn. I remember her, my brothers (Ronnie, Larry, David) and myself playing together at Uncle Richard's (Folsom) house in Kansas City, KS.

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
