Woodson “Woody” Sharp, a 69 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 7 until 8 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Woodson Ray Sharp was born on October 29, 1945 in Grundy County, MO the son of Luster and Alma (Brown) Sharp. He graduated from Trenton High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Woody was a member of the Edinburg Baptist Church
Mr. Sharp is survived by 2 sisters, Roberta Sayer of Galt, MO and Alice Wegenka of Trenton, MO; and 3 brothers, Allan Sharp of Trenton, MO, Luster Sharp Jr. of Savannah, MO, and Jerry Sharp of Jefferson City, MO.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice, they can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
