Jim Moore a 75 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Trenton. Pastor Mike Moore will officiate. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary, open visitation will begin Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mr. Moore was born on November 22, 1939 in Jamesport, MO the son of Thornton and Mabel (Rosenbaum) Moore. He graduated Trenton High School in 1957.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Missouri University and farmed all of his life south of Trenton. He was married to Vicki (Kent) Gillenwater on December 4, 2010. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Trenton.
Surviving relatives include his wife Vicki Moore of the home; children, Marla Moore of Sedalia, MO, Lisa Bird and her husband, Steve of Otterville, MO, Mindy Ruckman and her husband, Bryan of Sedalia, MO, Rusty Moore and his wife, Misty of Branson, MO, Monte Moore of Branson, MO, and Holly Welsh and her husband, Dan of Kansas City, MO; step sons’, Kent Gillenwater and his wife, Lacy of Mound City, MO and Brady Gillenwater and his wife, Stephanie of Mathews, VA; a sister, Janet England of Chillicothe, MO; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; also surviving are several niece, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
