Donald Milton Harris, 87, of rural Trenton, passed away at 4:40 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2015 at First Assembly Of God Church in Trenton. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton. Scheduled visitation is from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday evening at Resthaven Mortuary. Open visitation to begin Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Memorials and contributions are suggested to the First Assembly Of God Church in Trenton and can be left with or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, PO Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
Mr. Harris was born on January 12, 1928 in Tawanda, KS the son of Spencer and Vera (Arthaud) Harris. He was married to Mary Ann Marrs on June 25, 1950; she preceded him in death on August 9, 2010.
Donald was a lifelong farmer in Trenton. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and grandkids and watching them play sports.
Donald is survived by two sons, Claude Harris and his wife, Barbara of Trenton and Kevin Harris and his wife, Amy of Trenton; daughter Christi Anderson and her husband, Mike of Clarinda, IA; sister, Charlotte Peyton of Trenton; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Dear Claude and Barb, Christi and Mike, and Kevin and Amy,
Joyce and I are so sorry we are not able to be there for the service. Uncle Don was such an inspiration to us with his quiet, faithful, consistent trust in the Lord and we know that Jesus will be there for you all as you grieve his passing but also celebrate his home-going. Our prayers are with you as we rejoice in Uncle Don's victory and joy in the presence of the Lord!
