Viola King, an 88 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:30 AM on Friday, August 07, 2015 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Minburn, IA.
She was born on March 31, 1927 in Minburn, IA the daughter of Mahlon and Alma Mae (Thompson) Gottschalk. She graduated from Minburn High School. She was married to Francis Marion “F.M.” King on November 25, 1947. They farmed around the Trenton area and she worked as a cook for Trenton Jr. High. She was a member of the Rural Dale Baptist Church.
Mrs. King is survived by a son, Max King and his partner, Sam Paul of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Maxine Foster and her husband, Garry of Willow Street, PA; 2 grandsons, Jason King of St. Charles, MO and Thad Foster of Wooster, OH; a granddaughter, Tammy Foster of Cocoa, FL; and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Anthony Scott Foster; and a sister, Ruth Goldsberry.
