Mayme Jean Johnson, a 91 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 5:45 a.m., Monday, August 03, 2015 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. Open visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday morning. Memorial donations are suggested to the Rural Dale Building Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Mayme Jean Johnson was born July 23, 1924 near Melbourne, MO, to Albert Wenten and Rosa Mae (Umphfleet) Lovell. On January 4, 1943 she was united in marriage to Paul Eugene Johnson in Trenton. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2004. They lived and farmed most of their married lives near Laredo moving to Trenton in 1998 after retiring. Over the years Mayme also worked as a clerk for I.G.A., a secretary for Muff’s Bakery, and a cook for Rissler Elementary. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include her son Mike Johnson and his wife Mary Sue of Trenton, a daughter Pauletta Jean Clubine and her husband Lyle of Kansas City, MO, a sister Eulah Mae Clark of Trenton, sister-in-laws Barbara Bowe and her husband Lloyd of Chillicothe, MO, and Verna Louise Spencer and her husband Quinten of Eldon, MO, 3 grandchildren Larry Clubine and wife Barb, Paul Clubine and wife Cindy and Bryan Johnson, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, a granddaughter Kimberly Clubine, 5 brothers, Don, Chet, Johnny, Sam, and Robert Lovell and a sister Ruth Lane.
