We love you & Eric & the kids and are so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We will love and cherish memories with Eric always. From years with scouts, school (our fun Pool & Cookie Nights), his EMT & firefighting, you couldn't ask for a more dedicated public servant. He knew what his life was for. He had a servant's heart and we and our community were the beneficiaries. Christ is welcoming him home.... Our loss is heaven's gain. Sincerely, Paul & Barbara Cox

It is so sad to see how fast life can pass on this world. I remember when you began training at the fire station. You were a great guy and your wife is a lucky woman to have you in her life. You were a tremendous firefighter and a great person. Your zest for life was admirable and your dedication to everything was applaudable. To watch you do your job and have fun was such a learning experience. I thank you for being in my life.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change
(bills, life and even death)
Courage to change the things I can
(how i treat others and how I portray God)
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time
(living each day I have to the fullest)
Enjoying one moment at a time
(not wanting more than what is with me at this moment)
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace
(not begrudging those who have life and love longer than me)
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is not as I would have it
(remembering that no one is perfect and the quicker we realize that the happier we are)
Trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will
(taking things in his time not my own)
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy in the next
AMEN

Rachel,
You, Lillyann, and Lucas are and will continue to be in my prayers. I pray that God will send His healing peace as soon as possible, but right now it is time to grieve, and I grieve with you. I only had the pleasure of meeting Eric three times, but it only took once to realize why people were always smiling in his presence. With heartfelt sympathy to family, friends, and the countless lives that Eric touched, God bless you and yours.
