Virginia Tolle, a 96 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:13 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Pleasant Valley, MO while under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tolle was born on August 8, 1918 in Grundy County, MO the daughter of Homer and Anna (Shaw) Peery. She was married to Clark Tolle on April 13, 1940 in Macon, MO; he preceded her in death on January 10, 1997. Before marriage, Virginia taught school in Grundy and Mercer Counties. They raised their family on a farm 10 miles west of Trenton before moving to Bethany for 22 years, where they managed an Itco store. They retired and moved back to Trenton. She had lived the last nearly 3 years in Liberty with her daughter, Jenelle.
She is survived by a daughter, Jenelle Graber of Liberty, MO; a son, Stephen Tolle and his wife, Elaine of Hedrick, IA; a sister, Phyllis Anderson and her husband, Bob of Trenton, MO; a brother Stanley Peery and his wife, Joyce of Jamesport, MO; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Tolle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Bruce and Philip Tolle; a grandson, Zachary Graber; one brother, Woodson Peery; 3 sisters, Alice (Peery) Kuhn, Kathryn (Peery) Greenway and Fauntine (Peery) Gleason; and a son-in-law, Murray Graber.
