Deva Hamby, 89, of Trenton, passed away at 11:57 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, burial will follow in the Willis Chapel Cemetery at Brimson, MO. Memorial donations are suggested to the Willis Chapel Cemetery and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Deva Hamby was born April 19, 1926 in Trenton, MO to Robert and Mable (Provorse) Bulyar. She graduated from Trenton High School the class of 1943 and then moved to Kansas City where she worked for Montgomery Wards. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Max Hamby in Clinton, AR and they moved to the Brimson community. They farmed all of their married lives. Deva was a hard worker raising and providing for her family gardening, canning, and churning butter.
Deva is survived by her daughter Janet Brown and her husband Darrell of Trenton, four grandchildren Drake Brown of Trenton, Jake Brown of Trenton, Natalie Kilman, and Brandon Hamby of Dunbar, WV, five great grandchildren; Corda and Emma Brown, Lauren Fastenau, McKenzie Kilman and Mya Rose Kilman.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, son Rex Hamby, a brother Robert Bulyar and an infant daughter Cheryl Rose Hamby.
