Frank Clodfelter, an 82 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:56 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.

Mr. Clodfelter was born on January 11, 1932 in Trenton, MO the son of Frank and Edna Grace (Vaughn) Clodfelter. He graduated from Laredo High School and served 3 years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was married to Shirley Cox on April 24, 1956 in Laredo, MO. They lived all their married lives in Trenton where he worked as a utility worker for the city of Trenton. He was a member of the First Christian Church and former longtime Scout Leader of Troop 97. Frank was an avid race fan.

Surviving relatives include his son, Kent  Clodfelter and his wife Stacey of Emporia, KS; grandchildren, Ashley and Zach Burson of Emporia, KS; two sister-in-laws, Rogean Clodfelter and Marjory Cox; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; a sister, and his wife.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Boy Scouts Troop 97, they can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
