Sarah L. Dockery an 87 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:35 p.m., Sunday, August 03, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 until service time Wednesday.  Memorial donations are suggested to either Hospice Advantage or Sunnyview Nursing Home Station 2 “Coconut Cove” and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Sarah L. Dockery was born March 2, 1927 in Osborn, MO to Marion Roe and Goldie Faye (Miller) Ward.  She graduated from Gilman City High School and received a teaching degree from Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville, MO.  On November 16, 1948 she was united in marriage to Melvin LeRoy Dockery in Trenton, MO.  He preceded her in death on April 29, 1987.  Sarah taught at Smith school for a few years before being employed with Trenton Foods for 32 years.  She loved watching the Kansas City Royals as well and making quilts and playing bingo and was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church and the Ladies Axillary.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Janice Huffstutter and her husband, Larry of Trenton, MO and Jean Dockery of McFall, MO; three sisters, Deloris Allen of Chillicothe, MO, Lois Jean Oliver of Fredericksburg, VA, and Anne Hall of Prescott Valley, AZ; four grandchildren, Stephanie Clines, Kimberly Gremminger, Lisa Hamilton and Jenny Sprague; and 7 great grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, brothers, Wetzel, Junior and David Ward, and a great grandchild.
