Mike Lotz, a 68 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:33 P.M. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary.
Mr. Lotz was born on October 17, 1945 in Des Moines, IA the son of Verle and Jane (Devin) Lotz. He graduated Valley High School in West Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He moved to Trenton and worked at Modine for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Trenton Elks Lodge #801.
He is survived by 2 sons, Clay Lotz and his wife, Jess of Trenton, MO and Ron Silkwood and his wife, Gina of Hamilton, MO; a daughter, Janice Quick and her husband, Randy of Platte City, MO; a sister, Bonnie Fagen and her husband, Alan of Western Shawnee, KS; also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a niece, Tania Van Dyken.

Mike did not know a stranger i think he liked every one he seen no mater if he just met them i know when met him for the first time he acted as if he had known me for years when god made mike he broke the mold i do not think there will be another one like mike was so sorry about your loss you and your family is in our prayers

I knew Mike years ago from going to church at Edinburg Baptist Church. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
