Opal Ricketts, a 95 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
The body was cremated. A family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton.
Mrs. Ricketts was born on November 7, 1918 in Grundy County, MO the daughter of Hubert and Mayma (Lovell) Whitt. She was married to James Ricketts on November 9, 1963 in Des Moines, IA; he preceded her in death on October 9, 1996.
She is survived by a brother, Kenneth Ricketts and his wife, Linda of Trenton, MO; 2 sisters, Wanda Egeland of Independence, MO and Ruby Christine Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Edgar Whitt; and 3 sisters, Norma Grace Whitt, Beulah Haun, and Neva Walker.
