Phyllis Swigart, a 69 year old Trenton resident passed away at her home while under hospice care at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 03, 2014.
The body was cremated under the direction of Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. No services are planned.
Mrs. Swigart was born on February 18, 1945 the daughter of Vernon David and Betty Pauline (Vanderpool) Baker. She was married to Donald Swigart on March 31, 1961; he preceded her in death on July 31, 2003.
Mrs. Swigart is survived by 2 daughters, Teresa Swigart of Trenton, MO and Sherrie Thomas of Springfield, MO; a son, Donald Keith of St. Joseph, MO; 2 brothers, Larry Baker of Princeton, MO and Jerry Baker of Cedar Rapids, IA; a sister, Eveline Blattner of Cedar Rapids, IA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Baker; and a sister, Madelyn Kennedy.
