Jessie Franklin Shuler, an 86 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 5:09 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at Wright Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held on Thursday from 7 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Edinburg following military rites.
Mr. Shuler was born on December 9, 1927 in Livingston County, MO the son of Gilbert and Maudie (Brinser) Shuler. He served in the Army during WWII. He was married to Lucille Collins on October 18, 1948 in Trenton, MO. He worked at Trenton Foods for 39 1/2 years before retiring. He was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Lucille of Trenton, a son Ronnie Shuler and his wife, Nancy of Letts, IA, a daughter Nancy and her husband, Gary Tate of Laredo, a brother Junior Shuler and his wife, Judy of Trenton; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 2 step great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alfred, Russell, Jimmy Dean, Melvin, and Clarence; and 3 sisters, Mary Crawford, Lillie Shuler, and Virginia Dowell; and a step son, Bob Brannam.
