Dale Smith, an 80-year-old Chula resident, passed away early morning October 9, 2010 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home where he had been since June 24, 2010.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the Haseville Cemetery east of Laredo.  A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.

Mr. Smith was born on August 26, 1930 in Livingston County the son of Harley and Emmaline Searcy Smith.  He was a lifelong resident of Chula where he farmed and Auctioneered.

He is survived by several cousins and was preceded in death by his parents.
