Clifford Jones a 74 year old, Princeton, MO resident, passed away at 9:55 AM on Friday, April 04, 2014 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Resthaven. The body will be cremated following the service.
Mr. Jones was born on July 27, 1939 in Clarke County, IA the son of Albert and Lena (McVey) Jones. He was married to Jolene Baker in Bethany, MO on November 19, 1960. They lived in Osceola, IA before moving to Galt in 1972 where they owned and operated the Galt Café. They moved to Carrollton where he owned a second hand store. In 1999 they moved to Triplett where he raised dogs and goats, until his health went bad. They moved to Linneus in 2010. Cliff lived a full life and enjoyed telling stories and jokes to his friends. He joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1995 and worked for the church in any way he could.
Survivors include his wife Jolene of Princeton, MO; 2 daughters, Alberta McQueen of Carrollton, MO and Elaine Hanes of Trenton, MO; 2 sons, Clifford Jones of San Antonio, TX and Donald Jones of Jamesport, MO; a sister, Ruby Kane of CO; 2 brothers, Morris Jones of MN, and David Jones of IA; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Donald, John, Eugene, and Tom.
