On Tuesday March 25th 2014 a beautiful angel was called home to heaven. The daughter of Columbus and Sally Harrison, Zelma Elizabeth Harrison Terry was born on June 21st 1916 in Greenville South Carolina. Zelma had 8 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Zelma also lived in North Carolina and Nebraska before moving to Missouri. Zelma worked as a weaver in a Cotton Mill and in a Women’s Hosery Factory before dedicating herself to her marriage and her family. On September 11th 1948 she married Gradey E. Terry in Lincoln Nebraska. As a result of this life long bond came 9 children. Zelma was active in Women’s Ministries and a devoted Christian and member of the First Assembly of God Church. Zelma loved to spend time in the garden, planting flowers, fishing, hunting, sewing, quilting, and most importantly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Zelma displayed qualities and characteristics matched by no one. She was a giver, never asking for anything in return. She was a teacher, helping others grow emotionally, physically and spiritually. She was strong in her faith, because she knew one day the reward of her life on earth would be an everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was the rock to many people and a mother to all, guiding and helping others whenever called upon.
