Wendell Everet Stottlemyre, an 86 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 7:48 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 until service time Wednesday. Open visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday. Memorial donations are suggested in Lieu of flowers to the North 65 Senior Center and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Wendell Stottlemyre was born March 17, 1927 in Spickard, MO to George and Belva May (Persell) Stottlemyre. On June 9, 1967 he was united in marriage to Carol Lea McHargue. They lived all their married lives in Trenton until her death on July 8, 2009. Wendell worked for many years for Trenton Transit Mix.
Surviving relatives include his daughters Shelly Long and her husband Robert of Chillicothe, MO and Rosalie Jordan and her husband Robert of The Villages, FL, and a son Ronnie Stottlemyre and his wife Linda of North Charleston, SC.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, an infant son Randy, and siblings Floyd Stottlemyre, Lois Foster, Gussie Shields, Ruth Cornwell, Agnes Mason, Vera Tharp and Art Stottlemyre.
