Trenton resident, 96 year old Juanita Winifred Jones passed away at 8:34 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton, MO.  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens North of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 7 until 8 Thursday evening at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the First Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Juanita Jones was born April 20, 1917 in Brimson, MO to William and Mary (Meek) Jones.  She graduated from Trenton High School as well as attending beautician school and William Jewell College.  On March 24, 1939 she was united in marriage to Eldon Jones in Trenton, MO.  He preceded her in death August 11, 2013.  Together they farmed in the Brimson, MO area.  They enjoyed traveling around the globe and spent winters the last 32 years in Texas.  Juanita was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton and very active previous member in the Mount Pleasant #1 Cat Creek Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school, bible school and serving as the church pianist.
Survivors include her son Lewis Jones and wife Brenda of Gilman City; grandchildren Shannon Jones and wife Marjorie of Kansas City, MO, and Lisa Riley and husband Jeff of Olathe, KS and great grandchildren Anna and Sam Jones and Lauren, Luke, and Jacob Riley.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, sisters, Ina Adams, Deleta Munn, and Elgiva Moore and a brother Buell Lewis.

Kenny and I want to express our deepest sympathy. Juanita was a dear friend of my mother, Lorene Barnett and a good friend to us also. She will be missed.
