John Blackburn, a 41 year old Galt resident, passed away at 9:15 PM Saturday September 25, 2010 at his home where he was under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Payne Funeral Home at Galt. Cremation will follow the services. A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Wright Memorial Hospice.
General visitation will begin after 8:30 AM Tuesday.
Mr. Blackburn was born on March 10, 1969 at Smithville, MO the son of Jacob and Caroline Inmend Blackburn. He was raised at Excelsior Springs, MO and had resided at Galt the past year.
Mr. Blackburn is survived by his father, Jacob Blackburn of Galt, MO; a son, Johnny Lee Blackburn of Cowgill, MO; two sisters, Christine Shepherd and Tamey Clancy both of Edgewater, FL and a brother, Samuel Blackburn of Macon, MO.; several Aunts & Uncles and cousins.
Besides his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Henry Blackburn.
