Mildred Dolynn Hobbs, a 96 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 12:04 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery Northwest of Brimson, MO.  A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Trenton Church of Christ.

Mildred Hobbs was born October 29, 1913 near Modena in Mercer County, Missouri to John Edward and Gracie Mabel Stanley Gibler.  On November 18, 1930 she was united in marriage to Orville Hobbs.  He preceded her in death February 14, 1976.  They lived on a farm north of Brimson before she moved to Trenton in 1980.  She was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ.

Surviving relatives include her son Harold Hobbs of Pleasant Valley, MO, a brother Eddie Ray Gibler of Green City, MO, three sisters Frieda Little and her husband Darrel of Topeka, KS, Iris Josephine Shockey of Trenton and Edna Mae Eaton of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren DeLyndea Payne and her husband Kirby of Jamesport, MO, Teresa Tye and her husband Dan of Lee’s Summit, MO, Kristie Hobbs of Kansas City, MO, and David Hobbs and his wife Laura of Loveland, CO, as well as 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, sons Nelson and Harlan Hobbs, brothers Marion, Edward Junior, Raymond Stacy, Billy Dale and Arnold Dean Gibler, and sisters Marjorie Hamby, Lillian Abagene Gibler and Gracie Tharp.
