Logan Leek, a 90 year old Liberty, MO resident, passed away at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Payne Funeral Home in Galt, MO. Burial will be in the Humphreys Cemetery in Humphreys, MO. A visitation is scheduled for 1 till service time Sunday. Open visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
Logan Leek was born January 19, 1920 in Rockbridge, MO to Charles Markey and Melinda Jane Alsup Leek. On October 23, 1960 he was united in marriage to Helen Humphreys. They had lived in Chillicothe, MO before moving to Springfield, MO and then Liberty, MO. She preceded him in death June 27, 2002. Mr. Leek served with the United States Army during WWII and worked for Guys Food for 29 years as a driver and warehouse foreman until retirement. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving relatives include his daughter Linda Steed of Yucaipa, CA, a sister Lola Steiner of St. Joseph, MO, a daughter in law Jo Ann Glidewell of Gladstone, MO, a sister in law Lois Leek of Blue Springs, MO, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, two step sons Gary and Jerry Lee Glidewell, a sister Lois Leek, and three brothers, Jesse Wayne, Lemuel, and Charles Leek.
