Grace May Lame Davidson, an 87-year-old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at her home where she was under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Rev. Denny Chesnut will officiate. Burial will be in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A scheduled visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Davidson was born on April 16, 1923 in Mercer County, northwest of Spickard, MO on a farm, the daughter of Albert and Mary Brown Lame. She spent most of her childhood in Trenton. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1941. She was married to Edmond Davidson on March 5, 1949, he preceded her in death on January 15, 1984. She lived and worked in Kansas City, MO most of her married life. She was head of the loan department at BMA. After her husbands death she lived in Excelsior Springs, MO. In 2002 she moved to Trenton, MO where she lived with her sister, Lovie Johnson, where she resided until her death. She was very active in her church in Excelsior Springs where she participated in many Bible studies and read the complete Bible many times.
She is survived by a sister, Lovie Loriene Johnson; neice, Mary Lynn Jacobs, and the following nieces and nephews, Barbara Perry, Ronald Lame, Richard Lame, Leonard Ray Lame, Don Lovell, Gary Ferguson, Jackie Ballinger, Joyce Monroe, Jack Stokes, Dennis Davidson, and Debbie Horn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Cleo Lame, Lester Ray “Tommy” Lame, Leonard W. Lame; and a sister, Sarah Goldine Lame Lovell.
