Mary M. Johnson, a 90 year old Gallatin resident, passed away at 5:35 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the St Lukes Hospital on the Plaza.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Lake Viking Club House, with a scheduled visitation held one hour prior to service time. A scheduled visitation will also be held from 7 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be in the Cope Cemetery, west of Winston.
Mrs. Johnson was born on June 15, 1923 the daughter of James Alvia and Dora K. (Killion)  Moss.  She was married to Darwin Johnson on December 28, 1946 in Adel, IA; he preceded her in death on September 29, 2010. They farmed in Iowa before moving to Breckenridge in February of 1969, and then moved to Maysville in 1971. After retiring in 1979, they moved to Lake Viking. Mary found the way of Jesus in 1931 as demonstrated in the Bible – and it continues to produce the same fruit today.
She is survived by 2 sons, Bill Johnson of Columbia, MO and Ken Johnson and his wife, Ruby of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Marilyn Street of Gallatin, MO; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a niece, Linda Grady of Ankeny, IA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Lee Moss, and his wife, Betty; and a son in law, Stanley Street.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cope Cemetery. They can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
