Neva House, a 97 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:50 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 18 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday. Open visitation will begin Thursday morning. Memorial donations may be made to either the Green Hills Animal Shelter or the Church of Christ and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Neva Frances House was born August 26, 1916 in Sullivan County, MO to Matt and Daisy (Loder) Webb. She grew up and attended school near Pollock, MO. In 1953 she moved to Trenton and worked as a nurse’s aid at Wright Memorial Hospital. On December 16, 1954 she was united in marriage to Gilbert House in Trenton. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2003. Neva also worked for Trenton Foods and at Swift and Company in the creamery and turkey department. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and found great enjoyment in her cats. Neva was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sandra Bradley and husband Larry of Trenton; a son, Donald McNabb of Trenton; 3 brothers Raymond Webb of Tulsa, OK, Ferrald Webb of East Moline, IL and Harley Webb of Silvis, IL; 3 granddaughters, Linda Dunkin, Kayla Wilson, and Tawnya Farmer, all of Trenton; 6 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, a son Gary Norman McNabb, a grandson Chuck Gladfelder, 3 brothers M.W., Williard and Bennie Webb, 3 sisters Dorcas and Belva Webb and Roselean Morley.
