Mary Ann Harris, a 78 year old rural Trenton, MO resident passed away at 8:12 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 at her residence where she had been under hospice care.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled for 7 to 8 Wednesday evening at Resthaven Mortuary. Open visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday Memorial donations are suggested to either the First Assembly of God building fund or Wright Memorial hospice.
Mary Ann Harris was born January 18, 1932 in Trenton to Wilford and Edna Wheeler Marrs. She graduated from Trenton High School and then worked as a legal secretary. On June 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Donald Harris in Trenton, MO. She was a member of the Trenton First Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a past member of the South Side Farm Club.
Surviving relatives include her husband Donald of the home, two sons Claude Harris and his wife Barb and Kevin Harris and his wife Amy both of Trenton, daughter Christi Anderson and her husband Mike of Clarinda, IA, two sisters Ruth McCollum and her husband Clarence, and Willa Vanderpool and her husband George both of Trenton, six grandchildren; Zach and Cliff Harris, Ryan and Lindsay Anderson, Dylan and Preston Harris, and three great grandchildren Spencer, Isaac, and Jena.
Those preceding her in death include her parents and a sister Eleanor Lynch.
