James Harold King, an 80-year-old resident of Pacheco, CA, died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at a Concord, CA hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Open visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mr. King was born on April 20, 1933, in Bono, AR, the son of Charles Franklin and Mary Ellian Josephine Baker King. He grew up in Bonner Springs, KS and lived for many years in Trenton.
He worked for several years at Witten Implement Company at Trenton. He also worked for North Central Missouri College as a bus driver for the basketball team. He also made parts and did repairs on farm machinery in the area. He was a special man known for doing favors for family members and others.
Survived by a son, James David King of Concord, CA; a daughter, Deborah Pitts- Smith and her husband, Craig of Pacheco, CA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 nephews; eight great-nephews; six great-great-nephews; seven nieces; 13 great-nieces; and eight great-great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
