Delbert Neighbors, 90, Trenton, died July 23, 2010 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Mo.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm Monday July, 26 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 till service time at Resthaven Mortuary.
Mr. Neighbors was born June 16, 1920 in Putnam County, MO, his parents were George Allen Neighbors and Margaret Jane (Maggie), Schnelle. He attended Lemons High School. He lived in Pollock for several years before moving to Trenton in 1983. In addition to farming, Delbert worked at the Putnam County Library as the bookmobile driver for many years before joining Comstocks furniture in Unionville as a salesman. After moving to Trenton, he worked as a security guard at Trenton Foods before his retirement.
In 1955 he married Ruth Morrow in which one son was born, Terry Gene Neighbors. In 1959, he married Beatrice Elaine Bruner to which one son was born, Lindsey Alan Neighbors. Beatrice passed away in 1974. He married Pauline M. Irelan on August 15, 1983 until her passing on May 3, 2000. He is also survived by 4 brothers Benny of Unionville, MO, Bonny of Ravana, MO, Willard of Missoula, MT, and Keith of Denver, CO, and four grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by sisters Vonna Jean and Hollice, and brothers Orville and James.
